Howard Lederer grew up in a family of five where he liked taking part in numerous card games when he was young. He discovered himself getting very aggressive in these particular card games while playing his dad. Howard Lederer told Annie Duke to move out to Las Vegas and play in the WSOP tournaments. Annie Duke is one of the greatest women players the poker world has ever seen. He moved to Vegas in 1993 and competed in cash games for the next decade. When the WPT grew in popularity, he made the decision to compete in more tournaments.
