Phil Ivey has been labeled as the number one poker competitor on the planet by many of the top-ranked pros. He was born in Riverside, CA and moved to New Jersey before reaching turning one. His grandfather showed him to one cent-ante Five-Card Stud poker. From then on on, he was hooked on poker and wished to pickup whatever he possibly could about the game. Phil made a decision to take his skills to the successive level and headed out west to Sin City. He continues to play in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the best players in the world. Ivey credits his achievements to discipline and a continuing love for poker. Phil states that he is picking up skills every single day and is quite abashed about his achievements. He admits to making blunders every single session of poker and constantly strives to improve.
Although Ivey has come first in some big tournaments, he prefers winning money games on a normal basis.
