Online poker has become globally acclaimed recently, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, arcs back in fact a bit further than its television scores. Over the years several types on the original poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling twenty-one than old guard poker, in that the gamblers bet against the casino rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or different kinds of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up just before the croupier saying "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the different gamblers attain 5 cards each. Once you have looked at your hand and the bank’s 1st card, you must either make a call bet or give up. The call wager’s value is equal to your original bet, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your wager goes instantly to the casino. After the bet is the face off. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, plus a sum equal to the initial bet. If the house has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The house pays out cash equal to your bet and controlled odds on your call wager. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- two to one for two pairs
- 3-1 for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a four of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
