Online poker has become world famous lately, with televised championships and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back in reality a bit further than its television scores. Over the years many variations on the first poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling twenty-one than long-standing poker, in that the players bet against the house rather than each other. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is little bluffing or other kinds of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the croupier saying "No further wagers." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course every one of the other gamblers attain five cards. Once you have observed your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you must in turn make a call bet or surrender. The call wager’s amount is akin to your original wager, which means that the risks will have doubled. Abandoning means that your ante goes instantly to the house. After the bet comes the conclusion. If the bank doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, with a figure equal to the original bet. If the bank has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The bank pony’s up chips equal to your ante and fixed odds on your call wager. These expectations are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for two pairs
- 3-1 for 3 of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
